Evangelist Ministries International is founded by evangelist Christian Hedegaard, a minister of the Gospel to the nations and the senior pastor of Powerhouse Church on Orange Blossom Trail in Orlando, Florida.
Christian Hedegaard was born in 1966 in Denmark, went to Bible College in Copenhagen, and started as a full-time minister in 1996. He has been married to Karen Hedegaard since 1988 and is the father of four children.
Christian Hedegaard has traveled to more than 60 nations, preaching the Gospel and planting churches. In 2000, he started an evangelistic ministry that had a significant impact in his home country. Additionally, he is a recording artist, and the author of six books among which his first book, Conquering Demons, was translated into five languages, and his recent book, Fallow Ground, is the first one written and published in the US, followed by Holy Spirit Wildfire.
In December 2011, Christian Hedegaard and his family moved from Denmark to Orlando, Florida, to work among the homeless. He started feeding the homeless in the streets and out from there Powerhouse Church was established in 2013. The church is located in a poor neighborhood in the downtown area of Orlando and is open during the week, providing food, clothes and legal help for people in need.
